Now, Thomas has been earning his money with a .386 average to go with 12 HRs and 40 RBI through 36 games, but even his other-worldly 1.268 OPS hasn't been able to keep the Shuffle out of last place in the NL North.

That's not to say the Oklahoma native hasn't enjoyed his move to Missouri.
"Everyone here in KC has been great. Very nice, and they know that even if we haven't shown it, this team has the chance to be great! With some of the kids they're bringing up, I've just got to go out there and produce, show them how to be professionals. The rest should fall into place."
With a slow start, the Shuffle are hoping that the youth movement can start showing what they think they're capable of, and with Kyle Thomas leading the way, they hope that will include challenging for a division title in the near future.

Still sucks every time I have to go up against him...I can shut down the rest of the lineup, but he's good for about 2-3 runs a game, and my offense isn't a whole lot better...
